Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park is home to the scenic Murchison Falls. Lots of wildlife, beautiful scenery and river cruises.
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Set against the backdrop of the jagged Rwenzori Mountains, the park’s magnificent vistas include dozens of enormous craters carved dramatically into rolling green hills, panoramic views of the Kazinga Channel with its banks lined with hippos, buffalo and elephants, and the endless Ishasha plains, whose fig trees hide lions ready to pounce on herds of unsuspecting Uganda kob.
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – A UNESCO world heritage site is the place to see the remaining mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest is a wonderful experience that allows you to see the endangered gorillas up close in the wild tropical rain forests they dwell in.
Kibale Forest National Park
Kibale Forest National Park supports Africa’s biggest population of chimpanzees as well as at least 13 different primate species. The park is also home to many bird species and is a great place for birders to visit.
Lake Mburu National Park
Lake Mburu National Park is the only Ugandan park where you can go horse riding. With green acacia woodland surrounding the lake, this wonderful park provides shelter to different bird species and mammals, including zebra, topi, warthog, buffalo, impala, roan, leopard, hyena, jackal, and the last surviving Ugandan population of eland.

Best time to visit:
The best time to visit Uganda depends on your travel interests. Uganda, just like many countries in East Africa is an all year round travel destination. The best time to visit Uganda for gorilla trekking and game viewing is during the country's two dry seasons, January and February and from June to September. The best time for bird watching is all year round. Between November and April many migratory species are present and provides a bonus bird watching for birders.

Matooke: Green bananas but not plantain, boiled or steamed or mashed, served with a sauce of peanuts, beans fresh fish or meat
- Malewa: This dish is made from Bamboo shoots and hails from eastern Uganda
- Kikomando: Chapati cut into small pieces and served with fried beans
- Rolex : This is a street food which is eaten as a snack. Rolex is a chapati filled with eggs, onions, Cabbage or Kale and Tomatoes.
- Nsenene - a seasonal delicacy of Grasshopper
- Nswaa – another seasonal delicacy made of termites
- Luwombo – a stew of either chicken, beef, mushrooms or fish steamed in banana leaves
- Posho or Kawunga – made from Maizemeal, Cassava or Millet.
